Beware the app sprawl!

It happens so slowly and creeps up on you...

It starts with one app to manage shared files among your team. Then you add another app for video conferencing. Another for accounting. Another for chatting with remote team members. Add one more for managing your projects. Then another for...you get the idea.

Eventually, you have a dozen apps for different business functions, none of which ‘talk’ to each other, and all of them require different user accounts. Bringing on a new team member means adding them to a dozen different accounts across a dozen different apps. And when a team member leaves, you get to do that same process in reverse.

Keep in mind that you’re also **paying** for a dozen separate applications across multiple licenses or subscriptions. Keeping track of which team members are using which paid apps is a taxing process.

So how can we fix this “app sprawl”? Consolidate them!

“Wait, one app that does everything?” No, not quite. You still need different apps, but you want them to be connected in a single suite of apps that you can manage all from one place.

Imagine this: Your file management, office applications, email hosting, video conferencing, and team chat service belong to the same ‘group’ of tools. One account has access to all the tools, and it is all billed in one place.

When a new employee gets onboarded, their new user account automatically has access to all the above applications. The process goes:

New account created --> Instant access to all applications they need.... that’s it!

This is what digital transformation looks like. When businesses migrate to solutions like Microsoft 365, all management, access, and payment for most business tools is all in one place. No more app sprawl!

If your app sprawl is getting out of control and you want to simplify everything, we’d like to show you how.
